In a life dedicated to the innovation and thanks to the intuitions and experiences gained on the ski slopes and in winter sports companies, Alessandro Marchi “Sandy” creates Sandy Shapes, a young company that produces snowboard completely made in Italy, based in Friuli Venice Giulia.
The artisan skills combined with the competitiveness of the Italian industrial system have allowed the creation of a company that stands out in the world panorama.
Craftsmanship is distinctive of Italian culture and economy and is the basis for the realization of each new model. Each board is built using advanced design and machining tools, such as numerical control machines to cut and prepare materials. These are then combined with an artisanal method of assembly and finishing, with a precise control of gluing times and temperatures, heating and cooling, in order to obtain the best properties from each material and component. It is not only the single material that determines the quality of a snowboard, but the perfect harmony of all those used.
This modern craftsmanship becomes the key to create products with unique performances by meticulously controlling their quality and allowing their replicability, and obtain result that can not be reproduced in industrial production processes or in traditional artisanal processes.
