LONGBOARDS ARE A TYPE OF SKATEBOARD DEVELOPED FOR DIFFERENT USES.

The main disciplines are: downhill, freeride-commuting and dancing.

Sandy Shapes snowboards has grown up together with the culture of board sports: we have lived through it’s evolution, and have interpreted them in our own way. Our boards were born to bring innovation, performance and the values we believe in, such as sustainability and the quality of a Made in Italy design, to this world.

FREERIDE CARVING COMMUTING PUMPING CRUISING

Many aspects and one common factor: fun

The longboard allows you to move freely!
Generating speed by pumping, thanks to the board’s flex and the rider’s movement you can move around the city, suburbs or waterfront.
Radical curves reminiscent of surfing and snowboarding or simply the pleasure of sliding stable, fast and silent.
All this is the longboard, making it a healthy and fun alternative means of transport to the bike.

DANCING

A category derived from surfing, in which people literally walk on the board, with movements similar to ‘crosstepping’ dance steps.
Decks with considerable lengths are used, up to a maximum of 60″, with different flexes, concaves and kicks. It is practised in semi-flat or flat areas.
Ipanema is Sandy Shapes’ dancer board available in 3 flexes and two basic wheel options.

Downhill

Adrenaline and Speed

The fastest discipline in longboarding.
It consists of descending high-speed tracks, often mountain roads closed for these events where riders whizz from mountain to valley; a high technical background is required to control speed and practice this sport safely.
The boards are dedicated and complemented by trucks and wheels that meet the requirements for practicing this discipline in the best possible way.
